Crying Heart

A Human Rights Play

Malcolm is currently preparing his next piece of work, which is a playwright for theatre exploring the Human Rights Act in the case of bullying in the work place. Malcolm is preparing this work, to highlight the complexity of this area, and to visually show the effects, both physically and mentally, which manifest as a result of this kind of abuse.

The Institution, Government or Company alongside the Department and Management are in breech of the Human Rights Act by pretending, ignoring or allowing for this to commence. Sadly, this happens all over the country and Malcolm aims to highlight this, in the story of Toby, who is the main character in his play, called Crying Heart!
In 2007 ice and fire and Amnesty International UK launched the Protect the Human playwriting competition, designed to provide a high profile platform for new writing that explored human rights issues. Crying Heart will be presented to Ice and Fire, in the hope that they find it suitable and thus, authorizing a time slot for production.

The Play will be finished by December 2010. Malcolm aims to have hands on influence with this project, assisting and choreographing many of the scenes.
